Neopure PW and WFI generation plants are water treatment systems designed to process mains water, featuring multiple configurations and combinations of reverse osmosis and/or electrodeionization technologies, as well as online monitoring systems. These are plug-and-play units with capacities of up to 2,000 liters/hour, with custom configurations available for up to 10,000 liters/hour.
Purified and highly purified water are primarily used as cleaning agents, as base raw materials for the manufacture of various non-injectable medicines, and as a base for producing water of higher quality.

The Purified Water production plant consists of two distinct sections: reverse osmosis and electrodeionization.
a) Reverse osmosis
The reverse osmosis unit is fed with pre-treated water from which particles larger than 50–60 microns have been removed.
It is crucial to verify that the water exiting the water softener to feed the reverse osmosis unit has a hardness of 0°HTF.
The osmosis stage comprises:
A pressurization pump fed from the electrodeionization unit.
Membrane housings arranged to form a single-tube configuration (conceptually speaking), sized according to the plant's production capacity and consisting of three membranes. Given this configuration, the system's hydraulic yield is 40% permeate and 60% reject.
b) Electrodeionization unit
The electrodeionization (EDI) unit is designed to improve the ionic and bacterial quality of the incoming reverse osmosis water, thereby reducing water conductivity. The EDI unit includes a complete electrical panel with a PLC that controls the operation of the entire Purified Water production plant. A touchscreen interface is used to operate the EDI unit and provides information on its performance.
Non-proprietary components (Gemü, Siemens, Festo, SMC)
Compact systems up to 2,000 L/h and customized solutions up to 10,000 L/h, combining reverse osmosis, electrodeionization and online monitoring technologies.
